Our client, a leading agricultural technology firm focused on sustainable farming practices, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Agronomist to join their innovative team. This role is pivotal in advancing crop science, optimizing yields, and promoting efficient farming techniques. This position is fully remote, allowing you to leverage your expertise to support agricultural operations and research from a home-based office. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of soil science, plant physiology, pest management, and crop cultivation.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement advanced agronomic strategies to improve crop health, yield, and quality. Conduct field research trials to evaluate new crop varieties, fertilizers, and pest control methods. Provide expert advice and technical support to farmers and agricultural stakeholders on best practices. Analyze soil and plant tissue samples to diagnose nutrient deficiencies and recommend appropriate treatments. Develop and manage integrated pest management (IPM) programs. Monitor crop development, identify potential disease or pest outbreaks, and implement control measures. Stay current with advancements in agricultural science, technology, and sustainable farming practices. Develop and deliver training materials and workshops on agronomic topics. Collaborate with research and development teams to innovate agricultural solutions. Collect and analyze data from field trials and farm operations. Prepare reports, technical papers, and presentations on agronomic findings. Advise on irrigation techniques and water management strategies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a related agricultural field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in agronomy, with a focus on crop production and field research. Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainable farming practices. Strong knowledge of soil chemistry, plant physiology, and entomology. Experience with data analysis and statistical software relevant to agricultural research. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to conduct field research and interpret complex data. Proficiency in using agronomic information systems and tools. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage remote projects effectively. A passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to improving food security.
